Las Vegas Art Museum 29 Sept.99 Dr.Jim Mann Dear Jim I have made digital pictures now of the 300 foot painting and want to come out and make digital pictures of all my lose ones for the catalog. All the matters are confirmed now to ship and show the painting in Europe. We need to move ahead with copy for the printed word. My series on Garden of Edem is now owned by America O Yes. Thank you for the copy of the Chagall show writeup. They say my work is most like Chagall. I saw 3 small pictures in a fine gall-ery in New Orleans of Chagall at $25,000 each. It looked like he only made 5 strokes to make each painting. Marc Chagall is said to have painted with dream like quality and a rich imagination,he is said to have transformed common place things into an illogical and enchanted world of his own. I am inspired by the description of him and his art. I would like to see more of his work in time. (It got misplaced here before I had time to read it) I really need the article done for Raw Visions and the letter to describe my work for whom it may concern in the European museums. The opening went really well in St.Louis. People are moved by this Revelation art. The new borders look wonderful and it hangs so very well in beautiful huge circles like a wall from the ceil-ing by thin wire on a inch steel rod which the eyelets attach. I hope your show goes well. Sincerely William Thompson Thompson buys a town,a 10 acre town in West Texas called Lobo. A township that is on the map with a motel with swimming pool,serv-ice station,a dozen houses, commercial buildings and 2 deep wells. It is now abandoned but can be restored quickly. It is out there. Thompson has a crazy notion that he can create a perfect town by making it like the garden of Eden growing vegetables vertically and making his own power to pump the water by windmill and solar. To build a church and school and have 2 of every animal at least. To bottle the well water to save the world from poison and make safe toothpaste without fluroide. To have a safe foods table spread morning noon and night. To paint a drivein art museum and to have a community of art for visual communication and education and to teach wellness by good health and productive life for all. For the 21st.century,this would make a good movie and start us in the right direction. It is back to the roots of civilization and a simple way of life. The battle for the mind in this soda pop society would be revealed and the struggle to detox the average person from sugar and french fries for a free mind and a longer life while always feeling good, this is the beginning of tomorrow. Lobo,Texas is 16 miles South East of Van Horn in West Texas 120 East of El Passo on highway 90 that runs along the border,at this point about 10 miles North of the Rio Grande River with marvelous view for many miles, elevation 4,500 feet, the road is paved double wide along the 754 foot frontage and the property is fenced on 3 sides with a u shaped driveway paved through the center. One well has a large storage tank for water and was used for irrigation. Van Horn has a long early history of the railroad and Red Rock Ranch,it is home for Van Goah II on Broadway who repaints Van Gogh art by the hundreds and wants to rename Lobo Van Gogh,Texas. The town would be a real town and would serve the people that do desire to live there for a new and better life. Proposal to work with
